1. This Conference rejects any national disputes procedure that prevents UCU balloting for industrial action while negotiations are taking place. We accept that action should not take place unless and until negotiations have broken down.
2. This Conference rejects a timetable for national pay bargaining that precludes the use of assessment sanctions in the same academic year as the pay claim.
3. This Conference believes that any acceptance of single table bargaining must be conditional on maintenance of the right of all unions in JNCHES to bargain freely on matters of exclusive interest to their members.
