Congress notes with concern the levels of recruitment in UCU in groups of staff, including part-time staff, staff attached to fixed funding and hourly paid staff. Congress believes that recruiting staff from all areas in tertiary education is imperative to a healthy UCU. Therefore, Congress instructs NEC to make available the resources at a local level to branches to work directly with these groups of staff to increase membership levels.
