Congress welcomes the additional support offered to members through the College and University Support Network, particularly the 24/7 personal back-up for members experiencing stress and various forms of crisis.
Congress supports the programme to:
raise members’ awareness of CUSN
raise funds and increase the number of donors to the charity
collaborate with CUSN in campaigns of mutual interest
cooperate in appropriate research
It calls on the NEC to:
Monitor statistically the issues raised by academic and related staff in all parts of post-school education and use the information to
develop UCU services and campaigns
support our arguments for changes in policy, legislation, employment relations, professional support, working conditions and the working environment
