Congress:
condemns Governmental intimidation and human rights abuses in Zimbabwe, including attacks on trade unionists and students;
calls for the immediate release of election results;
applauds the South African Transport Workers' Union, and other unions around the continent, to blacklist the Zimbabwean Government's Chinese arms shipment;
registers solidarity with the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) in its campaign for economic and political justice.
Congress resolves to:
re-affiliate to Action on Southern Africa (ACTSA);
support the TUC's Zimbabwe Appeal;
strengthen our links with Zimbabwean education workers and students.
