Congress condemns continuing government interventions within post-16 education on the subject of alleged 'Islamic extremism' as shallow, ill considered and potentially racist in implication. Congress calls on the NEC to join with the NUS to support academic and intellectual freedom of speech for all parts of the educational community consistent with UCU existing policy on equalities and anti-discrimination.
