Sector Conference notes the LSC-published Colleges' financial data for 2006/7 with distaste. The data reveal that for (at least) the last five years one-third of all College Principals in England and Wales received a pay rise in excess of their staff, sometimes far in excess. This pattern has persisted for the 14 years since incorporation. Meanwhile the cases of Principals attempting to impose worse terms and conditions on their staff increase alarmingly.
FE Sector Conference instructs the General Secretary to write to the Minister for Further Education asking for an explanation.
