- Motion text
Conference notes the threats to continued national HE pay bargaining made by a number of employers in the run-up to our recent ballot on JNCHES reforms.
Conference resolves that any attempt by a local HE employer to break with national pay bargaining, or for UCEA to exclude UCU from playing a full and active part in such bargaining, be resisted vigorously at a national level, including consideration of a national dispute. Conference reiterates its determination to maintain national bargaining within HE and resolves to resist its weakening by rogue employers. To that end, full and active national support will be given to local UCU branches where local employers attempt to renege on existing national agreements.
