Heading 21, after National Executive Committee, insert 'Vacancies and', to read 'Vacancies and Casual Vacancies'.
Rule 21. 1, delete third sentence, 'A vacancy in the office of Vice President shall be filled by election as provided for in NEC Standing Orders'.
Add new rule 21. 2
'If a vacancy or casual vacancy arises, or is due to arise, in the office of Vice President, a by-election will be held. The term of office of a person elected to fill a vacancy in the position Vice President will begin as soon as possible after election, but not before the vacancy has arisen. The person elected to that office will succeed to the office of President Elect, and then to the office of President, and then to office Immediate Past President, in accordance with the succession applicable to the original vacancy, subject to the provisions of rule 21. 1. '
Re-number remaining paragraphs in section 21.
Existing rule 21. 2 (to be re-numbered 21. 3), first and second sentences, before 'vacancy', delete 'casual'.
