Sector conference rejects the 1.5% pay offer from the AOC for 2009/10. Given that schoolteachers have been awarded an increase of 2.3%, it instructs the FEC to conduct an industrial action ballot of members for a programme of national strike action in order to secure an improved pay offer and to secure implementation of the 2004 pay award for colleges involved in the I.O.U. campaign where management have refused to implement the 2004 pay award, from the employers in the form of a 'Parity Payment' which closes the gap between lecturers' and teachers' pay.
